Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Seller Growth Senior Manager to join our team at Depop, based in New York. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in accelerating the growth and success of our sellers on the platform.
Role Overview:
The primary goal of this role is to drive the growth of Depop’s seller community in the US by developing and executing strategic seller acquisition initiatives. In addition to acquiring new sellers, the role will focus on supporting their ongoing success on the platform — ensuring they become active, engaged, and high-performing contributors.
This is a highly cross-functional role that will collaborate closely with teams across Product, Marketing, and Customer Support. The role includes managing a small team (1–3 direct reports), guiding them in the execution of acquisition programs and seller growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute seller acquisition strategies to grow the number of high-quality sellers in the US, owning acquisition initiatives end to end, from ideation and messaging to targeting, activation and measurement.
Design and test onboarding and early engagement initiatives to support seller success and retention post-acquisition.
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Support, and Data teams to ensure acquisition strategies are well-integrated and supported across the business.
Manage and mentor a small team (1–3 direct reports), providing clear direction and coaching.
Represent the voice of sellers internally, championing their needs and feedback across all Depop teams.
Stay informed on industry trends and competitive strategies in marketplaces, social commerce, and small business enablement.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels, as well as external partners.
Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to align cross-functional teams around shared goals and drive initiatives to completion.
Business development mindset, highly entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to test, learn and iterate as required — with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Exceptional analytical capabilities, with experience using data and insights to inform decisions, optimize performance, and uncover new opportunities.
Proven track record in people management roles within seller growth, marketplace operations, or other high-growth, seller- or customer-facing functions.
Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and seller behavior, ideally with experience in fashion, e-commerce, or social commerce sectors.

Flex (Default)

Flex employees will be expected to work from the office at least 4 days per month. Teams will determine whether there are set weekly or monthly in-office days based on their operating rhythms and practices. Office Based

As part of taking on the Office Based working mode you will be able to apply for a permanent desk in the office if you need one, but you won’t need to apply to become an Office Based employee.
Remote

This mode requires around 2- 4 days per year in the office, depending on organisational guidance. You will be able to expense travel if you are asked to attend the office, but not for office attendance by your choice.
